Pirate's Lair on Tom Sawyer Island, previously known simply as Tom Sawyer Island, is an open-ended, walk-through playground attraction in the Frontierland area of Disneyland Park. The island is only accessible through the use of rafts that leave periodically from New Orleans Square.
Background
The original name for the park was Mickey Mouse Island; however, Walt Disney chose to change the name, mostly to avoid the park's association with Mickey should Disneyland have been a failure.
