Golden State
Disney California Adventure
Theme Condor Flats, Grizzly Peak Recreation Area, The Bay Area, Golden Vine Winery, Pacific Wharf
Opening date February 8, 2001

Golden State was originally one of the lands at the Disney California Adventure Park at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California and is divided into five smaller sub-lands. Three of the sub-lands became the official lands during the 2014 expansion of Disney California Adventure. The sub-lands are Condor Flats, Grizzly Peak, and Pacific Wharf

Closed Sub-lands

The Bay Area path is modeled after 20th century San Francisco, with models of Victorian houses lining the path. There are no longer any attractions in this area.

After leaving the Bay Area, turning left one arrives in the Golden Vine Winery. Here, an attraction, Walt Disney Imagineering Blue Sky Cellar, displays concept art and models of the changes coming to Disney California Adventure Park by 2012.

Current Sub-lands (Now Official)

When entering exiting Buena Vista Street, to the visitor's right (assuming he/she's entering the park), lies Condor Flats. It is based on the airport in Southern Californian deserts during the aviation days of the early to mid 20th century. The attraction in Condor Flats is Soarin' Over California. The only dining area is Taste Pilot's Grill.

Another sub-land, Grizzly Peak Recreation Area, is home to the Grizzly River Run. Across from the Grizzly River Run is the Redwood Creek Challenge Trail, which provides an idea of the Mount Shastawilderness. The Redwood Creek Challenge Trail attraction also includes characters and scenes from Disney/Pixar's Up. When leaving the Grizzly Peak Recreation Area, one used to be able to find Push the Talking Trash Can near the boarder of the Bay Area during selected times, usually weekends during the day (prior to 6PM).

Pacific Wharf, modeled after California's 20th-Century wharfs, is the final sub-land. There is currently only one attraction here, The Bakery Tour, which is hosted by the Boudin' Bakery. It also contains the area and its restaurants where The Bay Area and the Golden Vine Winery once were. It does not include the Imagineering Blue Sky Cellar is, because the attraction closed during the 2014 expansion. The only attraction in Pacific Wharf is a tour of a San Francisco Sourdough Bakery.
