The Mad Hatter also known as the Hatter is a character who makes appearances in many of the Disney theme parks. He is central character to the iconic Mad Tea Party attraction.

History[]

Background[]

The Mad Hatter was a hatter in Wonderland, a world possibly created by the imagination of a young girl named Alice. The hatter constantly celebrated his, "Un-Birthday" outside the mill of his close companion the March Hare, alongside the Dormouse. The group was encountered by Alice while she pursued the White Rabbit, and later were called to testify against Alice in the Queen of Hearts' court. When Alice woke up, the Hatter and his companions seemingly ceased to exist.

Various Wonderland characters appeared to continue their existence in the realm of Fantasyland.
